TMEIC Expands With New HQ and PV Inverter Factory in Texas

TMEIC Corporation Americas, a subsidiary of TMEIC will move its headquarters to Houston, Texas in March 2025. At the same time, the company is reinforcing its dedication to U.S. photovoltaic (PV) production by opening a cutting-edge 144,000sqft factory in Brookshire, Texas focused on manufacturing utility-scale PV inverters.

TMEIC Group Boosts Presence in North America


The TMEIC Group, a global leader in PV inverters and energy storage systems has installed over 50 GW of renewable energy systems worldwide as of July 2024. In North America, their installed capacity surpasses 28 GW reflecting their strong presence since their entry into the U.S. market in 2010. The company's relocation to Houston's Energy Corridor will further bolster its efforts to advance the renewable energy sector.

TMEIC's Houston Expansion Drives Sustainable Energy Solutions


The decision to move its headquarters from Roanoke, Virginia to Houston, Texas and significantly expand its manufacturing capabilities reflects TMEIC's strategic objectives for growth in renewable energy technology, domestic manufacturing and global sustainability. This relocation will promote innovation, support TMEIC's growing team and enhance its capacity to serve clients. Despite the move, TMEIC will retain its Roanoke office continuing its focus on designing, developing, and engineering advanced automation systems, large AC motors and variable frequency drive systems for various global industrial sectors.

TMEIC's Texas Expansion Will Bring 9 GW Capacity


The new Brookshire facility is set to begin operations in October 2024. The facility will be located near TMEIC’s current uninterruptible power supply and medium voltage drive manufacturing plant in Katy, Texas and the facility will have the capacity to produce 9 GW per year, with the potential for future expansion depending on market demands.
