Energy Commission Selects Samaiden for 99.99 MW Solar Project

Samaiden Group Berhad has announced that the Energy Commission has shortlisted its wholly-owned subsidiary to develop a 99.99 MW large-scale solar project in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

SSB Awarded Package 3 Contract for the Solar Project


Samaiden Sdn Bhd (SSB) secured the Package 3 contract in the 30 MW to 500 MW category due to its competitive proposal and compliance with the RFP requirements. Samaiden emphasised that the project highlights its proficiency in delivering large-scale renewable energy solutions. With a maximum export capacity of 99.99 MW, the solar project is poised to enhance Malaysia's renewable energy capacity significantly.

Samaiden and Tenaga Nasional Sign 21-Year Solar Power Agreement


The company stated that the solar project will be governed by a 21-year solar power purchase agreement between Samaiden and Tenaga Nasional Bhd, guaranteeing a steady, long-term revenue stream. The solar plant is expected to reach its commercial operation date (COD) by October 11, 2027, when it will start supplying electricity to the national grid.
