Gensol Engineering Limited has been awarded an EPC contract worth $92.7 million (Rs 7.8 billion) to build a 150 MW ground-mounted solar park in Maharashtra, India.
Gensol to Oversee the Full Lifecycle of the Solar Park
Gensol’s responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, from the complex and critical task of land acquisition, underscoring the scale and complexity of the endeavour to the meticulous phases of design, engineering, procurement and logistics.
The scope also covers the manufacturing, supply, erection, inspection, installation, testing and commissioning of the 150 MW AC grid-connected ground-mounted solar park, as well as the development of the necessary power evacuation infrastructure to the STU substation. Furthermore, the contract includes three years of operation and maintenance (O&M) services including the upkeep of the plant’s switchyard and extensive transmission infrastructure.
