DTI Secures Contract for 450MW Goulburn River Solar Farm

DT Infrastructure (DTI) secured a contract from Lightsource bp to develop the Goulburn River solar farm in New South Wales, powering approximately 225,000 homes. DTI will manage civil, structural and electrical infrastructure to ensure seamless grid integration. Once operational, the project will cut carbon emissions by about 910,000 tonnes annually, supporting Australia’s renewable energy goals.

The facility will feature one million bifacial solar modules arranged in an east-west single-axis tracking system. The panels will have an approximate height of three meters. The solar farm will have an operational lifespan of around 40 years.

A key feature of the project is its hybrid energy storage system. The solar farm will include a 49MW/392MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). This will allow excess energy to be stored and supplied when demand is high. The integration of BESS will enhance grid stability and improve energy efficiency.

DT Infrastructure’s Experience in Renewable Energy


DTI has a strong background in delivering renewable energy infrastructure. The company previously developed the 60MW Chichester solar plant for Fortescue Metals Group.
