PV Hardware (PVH) has secured a deal with Global Power Generation (GPG) Australia to supply trackers for the 260 MWp Glenellen and 100 MWp Bundaberg solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland.
PVH Partners with GPG Australia forSolar Tracker
Solar tracker manufacturer, PVHardware (PVH) has unveiled a significant partnership with Global Power Generation Australia (GPG Australia) to supply trackers for the Glenellen and Bundaberg Solar Farms. These projects, set to be constructed by the main contractor Monford Group will collectively generate 360MW of electricity.
These two contracts represent a major milestone for PVHardware as it expands its portfolio and network of EPC partners in the Australian market. Since entering in 2018, PVH has supplied trackers to 2.6GW of solar projects and this latest development further strengthens its presence in the region.
Both projects are GPG Australia's first solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland, showcasing a collaborative effort to advance renewable energy. They also underscore GPG Australia's dedication to achieving its renewable energy goals in the country.
PVH Trackers Power Two Major Solar Farms in Australia
The Glenellen Solar Farm, situated in New South Wales is set to be commissioned and fully operational by Q4 2025 with a total capacity of 260 MW. The project will feature over 370,000 solar modules generating enough renewable energy to power more than 80,000 homes. Notably, it will be GPG's first Agrisolar farm globally helping to minimize the loss of agricultural land typically associated with solar farm developments.
The Bundaberg Solar Farm will have an installed capacity of approximately 100 MW with operations set to begin in Q3 2025. It will feature over 168,000 solar modules generating around 200 GWh annually—enough to power about 36,000 homes. This project will also help prevent the emission of 170,000 tons of CO2 equivalent into the atmosphere.
PVH will provide the Glenellen Solar Farm with 260MW of Monoline2P trackers and 100MW of Monoline1P trackers for the Bundaberg project. This approach is designed to meet the specific needs and requirements of each site.
PVH Boosts Local Economy with Solar Projects
Both projects will have a positive impact on the local community by creating jobs and increasing energy generation capacity to over 360 MW once commissioned. PV Hardware's global manufacturing strategy with facilities across three continents enables it to tailor product features to the specific needs of any solar project. For the Glenellen and Bundaberg projects, PVH's technology will be fully customized to meet their unique requirements.
“I am delighted to make this as my first announcement with PVH. It certainly marks a significant milestone for our progress and independence within the Australian market. We are especially pleased to work alongside GPG Australia and Monford Group to bring these projects to life. My career has been spent in renewables and infrastructure, and I am so pleased to be able to bring my experience to PVH and make a significant contribution to Australia’s energy transition. Both of these projects will positively impact the local community, creating jobs and boosting energy generation capacity. PV Hardware’s global manufacturing strategy, with facilities on three continents, allows us to customise their product features to meet the specific needs of any solar project.” said Trevor De Vries, PVH’s newly appointed VP of sales in Australia.
